St. Hedwig’s Cemetery

The land for the cemetery was acquired in 1919, and the cemetery was blessed on November 3, 1920. Many descendants of Polish settlers rest there. Among others, Janusz Zurakowski, a famous Polish test pilot, Boguslaw Mosielski, a well-known Polish-Canadian painter and graphic designer, as well as priests of St. Hedwig’s Parish, including Rev. Piotr Biernacki, are buried at this cemetery.
